This foot is used to freehand quilt your fabric and wadding layers together. It is used with the feed dogs in the lowered position. With the machine set up like so, you are in control of feeding your fabric. If you move your fabric slowly, your stitch length will be small. The faster you move your fabric the longer the stitch length will be. Quilt your fabric in any design. Move your fabric in circular movements for traditional stippling or in straight lines for a more geometrical look. Any design or shape can be created. It is rather like drawing without lifting your pencil.
